The Laboratory at Helen Keller Hospital is a licensed and fully functional reference lab, which includes anatomical pathology, microbiology, blood bank, chemistry, hematology and clinical microscopy. The modern, computerized lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and nationally certified technicians. A large menu of testing is available on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Links to regional and national reference labs for esoteric testing are also available. Keller's Lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologist, Department of Health and Human Services, HCFA for the highest complexity of testing. The Lab services all area home health agencies, nursing homes and many physician's offices. All tests performed require a written request from a licensed physician. Inpatient and emergency services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
