The Keller Volunteer program was established in 1960 by local resident, Louise Isbell Ashe. Ashe saw a need to assist the professional staff at the hospital. The program has continued to grow and provide assistance to the hospital and the community.
Volunteer Services Mission Statement:
To render worthwhile, non-professional supplementary service to Helen Keller Hospital, its patients, their family members, visitors, and medical staff and to assist Helen Keller Hospital in promoting health and welfare in accordance with objectives established by the organization.
